1) Dua Before Leaving Home for Umrah (Du‘a al-Safar) Before beginning your journey for Umrah, recite this Sunnah dua for protection and reliance upon Allah.
.بِسْمِ اللهِ تَوَكَّلْتُ عَلَى اللهِ، وَلَا حَوْلَ وَلَا قُوَّةَ إِلَّا بِاللهِ Transliteration: Bismillāh, tawakkaltu ‘alā llāh, wa lā ḥawla wa lā quwwata illā billāh.English Meaning: I begin in the name of Allah; I trust in Allah. There is no power or strength except with Allah.Urdu Meaning: اللہ کے نام سے نکلتا ہوں، میرا بھروسہ اللہ پر ہے؛ طاقت و قوت صرف اللہ کی ہے۔2) Dua for Boarding a Vehicle During Umrah Travel This dua is recited when boarding any transport while traveling for Umrah.
اَللّٰهُ أَكْبَرُ.. اَللّٰهُ أَكْبَرُ.. اَللّٰهُ أَكْبَرُ.. سُبْحَانَ الَّذِي سَخَّرَ لَنَا هٰذَا. وَإِنَّا إِلَى رَبِّنَا لَمُنْقَلِبُونَ. اَللّٰهُمَّ إِنَّا نَسْأَلُكَ فِي سَفَرِنَا هٰذَا الْبِرَّ وَالتَّقْوَى . Transliteration: Allahu Akbar. Allahu Akbar. Allahu Akbar. Subḥāna-lladhī sakhkhara lanā hādhā… wa innā ilā rabbinā la-munqalibūn. Allāhumma innā nas’aluka fī safarinā hādhā al-birra wa-t-taqwā…Meaning in English: Glory to the One who subjected this ride to us… O Allah, grant piety and deeds You love on this journey, make it easy, You are our Companion and Guardian.Meaning in Urdu: پاک ہے وہ (اللہ) جس نے یہ سواری ہمارے لئے مسخر کی… اے اللہ! اس سفر میں ہمیں نیکی و تقویٰ عطا فرما، اسے آسان کر دے؛ تو سفر میں ساتھی اور گھر والوں کا نگہبان ہے۔3) Dua Upon Arrival in Makkah or Any Place Seek Allah’s protection upon arrival.
أَعُوذُ بِكَلِمَاتِ اللهِ التَّامَّاتِ مِنْ شَرِّ مَا خَلَقَ Transliteration: A‘ūdhu bi-kalimāti-llāhi t-tāmmāti min sharri mā khalaq.English Meaning: I seek refuge in Allah’s perfect words from the evil He created.Urdu Menaing: میں اللہ کے کامل کلمات کے ذریعے ہر مخلوق کے شر سے پناہ مانگتا/مانگتی ہوں۔4) Ihram & Intention (Niyyah) Dua for Umrah Before entering Ihram, make the intention for Umrah sincerely.
.اللَّهُمَّ لَبَّيْكَ عُمْرَةً Transliteration: Allāhumma labbayka ‘umrah.English Meaning: O Allah, I respond to Your call for ‘Umrah.Urdu Meaning: اے اللہ! میں عمرہ کی نیت کرتا/کرتی ہوں۔Alternative .اللّٰهُمَّ إِنِّي أُرِيدُ الْعُمْرَةَ فَيَسِّرْهَا لِي وَتَقَبَّلْهَا مِنِّي Transliteration: Allāhumma innī urīdu l-‘umrah, fa-yassirhā lī wa taqabbalhā minnī.Urdu Menaing: اے اللہ! میں عمرہ کرنا چاہتا/چاہتی ہوں؛ اسے آسان فرما اور قبول فرما۔English Meaning: O Allah, I intend to perform Umrah, make it easy for me and accept it from me.5) Talbiyah for Umrah (Until Tawaf Begins) The Talbiyah is recited repeatedly after entering Ihram until reaching Tawaf.
لَبَّيْكَ اللّٰهُمَّ لَبَّيْكَ، لَبَّيْكَ لَا شَرِيكَ لَكَ لَبَّيْكَ، إِنَّ الْحَمْدَ وَالنِّعْمَةَ لَكَ وَالْمُلْكَ، لَا شَرِيكَ لَكَ Transliteration: Labbayka Allāhumma labbayk… inna l-ḥamda wa n-ni‘mata laka wal-mulk, lā sharīka lak.English Meaning: Here I am, O Allah… Truly all praise, favour and sovereignty are Yours, You have no partner.Urdu Meaning: لبیک اے اللہ! تمام تعریفیں، نعمتیں اور بادشاہی تیرے لیے ہے؛ تیرا کوئی شریک نہیں۔6) Dua While Entering Masjid al-Haram بِسْمِ اللهِ، وَالْحَمْدُ لِلّهِ، وَالصَّلَاةُ عَلَى رَسُولِ اللهِ. اللّهُمَّ اغْفِرْ لِي ذُنُوبِي وَافْتَحْ لِي أَبْوَابَ رَحْمَتِكَ Transliteration: Bismillāh, wal-ḥamdu lillāh, waṣ-ṣalātu ‘alā Rasūlillāh. Allāhumma-ghfir lī dhunūbī wa-ftaḥ lī abwāba raḥmatik.English Meaning: In Allah’s Name, praise to Allah, blessings on His Messenger. O Allah, forgive me and open for me the doors of Your mercy.Urdu Meaning: بسم اللہ… اے اللہ! میرے گناہ معاف فرما اور اپنی رحمت کے دروازے میرے لئے کھول دے۔7) Dua on First Sight of the Ka‘bah Seeing the Ka‘bah for the first time is a moment when duas are accepted.
اللّهُمَّ زِدْ هَذَا الْبَيْتَ تَشْرِيفًا وَتَعْظِيمًا وَتَكْرِيمًا وَمَهَابَة Transliteration: Allāhumma zid hādhā l-bayta tashrīfan wa ta‘ẓīman wa takrīman wa mahābah…English translation: O Allah, increase this House in honour, greatness, dignity and awe, and increase in honour and righteousness those who visit it.Urdu translation: اے اللہ! اس گھر کی عزت، عظمت، تکریم اور ہیبت میں اضافہ فرما، اور اس کے زائرین کے درجات بلند فرما۔8) Dua Before Beginning Tawaf (Hajar al-Aswad) Tawaf begins from the Black Stone.
بِسْمِ اللهِ، اللهُ أَكْبَرُ، وَلِلّٰهِ الْحَمْدُ Transliteration: Bismillāh, Allāhu akbar, wa li-llāhi l-ḥamd.English Translation: In Allah’s Name, Allah is the Greatest, all praise is for Allah.Urdu Translation: بسم اللہ، اللہ اکبر، اور ساری حمد اللہ کے لئے ہے۔9) Dua During Tawaf (Between Rukn Yamani & Hajar Aswad) This is the most commonly recited Sunnah dua that the Prophet ﷺ used to recite during Tawaf.
رَبَّنَا آتِنَا فِي الدُّنْيَا حَسَنَةً وَفِي الْآخِرَةِ حَسَنَةً وَقِنَا عَذَابَ النَّارِ Transliteration: Rabbana ātinā fi-d-dunyā ḥasanah wa fi-l-ākhirah ḥasanah wa qinā ‘adhāba n-nār.English Translation: Our Lord, grant us good in this world and the Hereafter, and protect us from the Fire.Urdu Translation: اے ہمارے رب! ہمیں دنیا و آخرت میں بھلائی عطا فرما اور ہمیں آگ کے عذاب سے بچا۔10) Dua After Tawaf (Maqam Ibrahim) .اللّٰهُمَّ اجْعَلْنِي مِنَ التَّوَّابِينَ وَاجْعَلْنِي مِنَ الْمُتَطَهِّرِينَ Transliteration: Allāhumma-j‘alnī mina t-tawwābīn wa-j‘alnī mina l-muṭaṭṭahirīn.English Translation: O Allah, make me among those who repent and those who purify themselves.Urdu Translation: اے اللہ! مجھے کثرت سے توبہ کرنے والوں اور پاکیزہ رہنے والوں میں شامل فرما۔11) Dua While Drinking Zamzam اللّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَسْأَلُكَ عِلْمًا نَافِعًا وَرِزْقًا وَاسِعًا وَشِفَاءً مِنْ كُلِّ دَاءٍ Transliteration: Allāhumma innī as’aluka ‘ilman nāfi‘an, wa rizqan wāsi‘an, wa shifā’an min kulli dā’i.English Translation: O Allah, grant me beneficial knowledge, ample provision, and healing from every illness.Urdu Translation: اے اللہ! نفع بخش علم، کشادہ رزق اور ہر بیماری سے شفا عطا فرما۔12) Sa‘i Duas (Safa & Marwah) At Ṣafā (start with the verse): إِنَّ الصَّفَا وَالْمَرْوَةَ مِنْ شَعَائِرِ اللَّهِ Transliteration: Inna ṣ-ṣafā wal-marwata min sha‘ā’iri-llāh.Urdu Translation: بے شک صفا اور مروہ اللہ کی نشانیوں میں سے ہیں۔English Translation: Indeed, Safa and Marwah are among the symbols of Allah.On the hilltops (Ṣafā/Marwah): اَللّٰهُ أَكْبَرُ.اَللّٰهُ أَكْبَرُ.اَللّٰهُ أَكْبَرُ… لَا إِلٰهَ إِلَّا اللّٰهُ. أَنْجَزَ وَعْدَهُ Transliteration: Allahu Akbar. Allahu Akbar. Allahu Akbar. Lā ilāha illā-llāhu waḥdah… anjaza wa‘dah…English Translation: Allah is Greatest, none worthy of worship but Allah alone… He fulfilled His promise, helped His servant, and defeated the confederates.Urdu Translation: اللہ سب سے بڑا ہے… اللہ کے سوا کوئی معبود نہیں… اس نے اپنا وعدہ پورا کیا، بندے کی مدد کی، اور لشکروں کو شکست دی۔.رَبِّ اغْفِرْ وَارْحَمْ إِنَّكَ أَنْتَ الْأَعَزُّ الْأَكْرَمُ Transliteration: Rabbi-ghfir warḥam, innaka anta l-a‘azzu l-akram.English Meaning: My Lord, forgive and have mercy, indeed You are the Most Mighty, Most Generous.Urdu Meaning: اے میرے رب! بخش دے اور رحم فرما؛ بے شک تو سب سے زیادہ عزت والا اور کریم ہے۔13) Halq / Taqṣīr (Shaving or Trimming) Dua .اللّهُمَّ اغْفِرْ لِي وَلِمَنْ حَلَقَ رَأْسَهُ Transliteration: Allāhumma-ghfir lī wa li-man ḥalaqa ra’sah.English Translation: O Allah, forgive me and whoever shaved his head.Urdu Translation: اے اللہ! مجھے اور جس نے اپنے سر کے بال منڈوائے اسے بخش دے۔14) Dua After Completing Umrah اللّهُمَّ تَقَبَّلْ مِنَّا إِنَّكَ أَنْتَ السَّمِيعُ الْعَلِيمُ Transliteration: Allāhumma taqabbal minnā innaka anta s-Samī‘u l-‘Alīm.English Translation: O Allah, accept from us, surely You are All-Hearing, All-Knowing.Urdu Translation: اے اللہ! ہم سے قبول فرما؛ بے شک تو سننے والا، جاننے والا ہے۔15) Dua While Leaving Masjid al-Haram بِسْمِ اللّٰهِ وَالصَّلَاةُ وَالسَّلَامُ عَلَى رَسُولِ اللّٰهِ، اَللّٰهُمَّ إِنِّي أَسْأَلُكَ مِنْ فَضْلِكَ Transliteration: Bismillāh, wa ṣ-ṣalātu wa s-salāmu ‘alā Rasūlillāh, Allāhumma innī as’aluka min faḍlik.English Translation: In Allah’s Name, blessings and peace upon Allah’s Messenger. O Allah, I ask You of Your bounty.Urdu Translation: بسم اللہ… اے اللہ! میں تیرے فضل کا سوال کرتا/کرتی ہوں۔اللّٰهُمَّ إِنِّي أَسْأَلُكَ الْهُدَى وَالتُّقَى وَالْعَفَافَ وَالْغِنَى Transliteration: Allāhumma innī as’aluka l-hudā wa t-tuqā wa l-‘afāfa wa l-ghinā.Translation (Urdu): اے اللہ! ہدایت، تقویٰ، عفت اور کفایت عطا فرما۔Translation (English): O Allah, grant me guidance, righteousness, purity, and contentment.Final Notes Recite every dua with understanding, sincerity, and humility.
